About Us

IN DECEMBER 2013, MAXIMILIAN GRAF VON SAURMA, MORITZ GRAF ZU STOLBERG AND DIETER MEIER OPENED THE OJO DE AGUA IN FRANKFURT.

The historic house from 1820,  which remains of the medieval Staufenmauer from the 12th century, has been remodeled in the style of an Argentine restaurant in Buenos Aires.

The wine

THE WINE IS MAINLY GROWN AND PRESSED IN MENDOZA AND MOST COMES FROM CERTIFIED ORGANIC GRAPES.

In addition to the wines from Dieter Meier from Bodega OJO DE AGUA, other wines from smaller wineries are also served.

What almost all red wines have in common is that Malbec plays a central role. Whether as a pure Malbec or as a cuvée, it is Argentina's most important grape variety. In addition to the Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot can be found in the various cuvées.

When it comes to white wines, we are concentrating on the two Torrontes and a Chardonnay by Dieter Meier, as well as the grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and another Chardonnay.

THE MEAT

OJO DE AGUA NOT ONLY STANDS FOR MEAT AND WINE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY FROM ARGENTINA, OJO DE AGUA ALSO STANDS FOR UNIQUE TASTE, ENJOYMENT AND QUALITY IN A STYLISH AND WARM ATMOSPHERE.

Meat and wine are always the focus. The meat and the wines are from selected Estancien or Bodegas in Argentina and are transported by ship to Europe.

The meat comes from Angus and Hereford cattle. The cattle graze all year round on the green areas of the Pampa Humida in the province of Buenos Aires and live exclusively outdoors. The grass feeding gives the meat a light marbling and an incomparable taste.
